So, you all know by now that I love Notion and I use it to organise my entire life and multiple businesses - and I still love and work with Google Sheets when it comes to data and working with collaborators or team members.
However I often find myself not just wanting to LINK to a sheet, but to actually embed it directly so I can see what is going on in Notion.
Notion has an integration to connect Google Drive natively to Notion, however this integration has a slight issue. If a Sheet is updated, it does NOT automatically update the version within Notion, so here is how you embed a Google Sheet instead:
Step 1 - How to Embed a Google Sheet in Notion
Go into your sheet and share it!
Here is the sheet, I’m wanting to embed in my Notion:
Now I go to the top right corner and click “Share”
I set the permissions how I want them and then click “copy link”.
Step 2 - Embed the sheet in Notion
Now I’m going to head over to the Notion page where I want to embed the sheet.
I start by typing a forward slash, followed by “embed”.
Now we are going to click on EMBED.
Do not use the “google drive” option listed. This is the one that won’t update.
Then in this box, paste the URL of your google sheet that you just shared a second ago and click “Embed Link”.
And ta-daa, now you have embedded your google sheet directly in Notion.
You can now use the bars at the side and at the top to adjust the height of your sheet and how it’s displayed on your Notion page - and when the file is updated, you can see it in Notion as well.
